Alton $15 Living Wage

2022–2023 | $15 living wage campaign: Won

Ground Game Texas organized alongside local advocates in the Rio Grande Valley to push the City of Alton to raise wages for municipal workers. Rather than ending at the ballot box, sustained organizing produced action directly from local government. Alton ultimately adopted a resolution raising the minimum wage for city employees to $15 an hour, demonstrating another path through which resident organizing can translate into local policy change.
